Antique Sewing Machine Repair
The Linzini Family came to us with a Wertheim sewing machine produced in 1890s. This sewing machine is a family heirloom with a machine bed and needle that has united countless pieces of fabric over the years. During shipping, it was extensively damaged and needed considerable welding done to the legs of the treadle table. We were able to repair and restore this priceless heirloom and offer the Linzinis a renewed artifact of their family history.

A Brief History of Wertheim:
The Wertheim sewing machine was considered a top-quality machine during its time. Joseph Wertheim founded his company in 1868 and became a leader in the industry very quickly. A German born company; the Wertheim family saw an opportunity to expand and set up a factory to Spain. This proved to be advantageous, especially during World War II for the Jewish owned company. During this time, the German factory disappeared, but operations continued in Spain. Wertheim continued manufacturing until the late 1960s, but by 1970 the company had dissolved due to the high price of labor and materials.

"I'll Be Back" (To My Original Glory!)
Due to the fact that we repair all types of metals we have had some very unusual projects come into our shop over the years. Here is a bigger then life statue of the Terminator. As you can see by the before picture he has begun to lean and could not even hold up his guns. We designed a platform, cable and turnbuckle system to straighten him up and allow for his guns to be brought up. He is now ready for display.

This was a special project in which our customer needed to transfer boiling water so they could make their fresh homemade tea, without the hassle of transferring boiling water manually. So we fabricated a complete system on wheels, to make it portable and easily maneuvered for storage when not in use..
