1955 Oldsmobile Street Rod Project

Forget the T.V shows where cars are built in a week and drama is all around. Here's a real look behind the scenes in the trenches.. "The Real Deal" If you would like a video on "What it Really Takes" to do projects of this nature, give us a call
at 540-659-3797 and we'll be happy to get one out to you.. It will show you the real "action" of behind the scenes of Restorations and Street Rod building.
We are using a 1965 Olds 98 doner car, that during it's life, had a 455 dropped in. What we are doing is rebuilding the brake system, using the steering system out of the 65 Olds. This made it necessary to cut out a part of the 65 frame, and grafting it to the 55. The firewall and transmission hump had to be cut in order to fit the 455 power plant. New motor mounts and transmission mounts had to be fabricated and this vehicle will get a completely new wiring system, heating and cooling system, along with an updated Dakota digital dash mounted in the original Oldsmobile instrument cluster. The firewall will have to be recessed, fabricated and reconstructed. We will keep posting pictures on the progress so you can see the time, work, and effort that goes into a project like this one.. It will take longer than a week..lol
